Story
Hi there,
I have decided to make a difference by taking part in The Color Run and raising money for the charity; Look Good Feel Better.
Look Good Feel Better is an international charity dedicated to providing practical, effective programmes to help manage the visible side effects that cancer and cancer treatment can have on appearance; including hair loss, eyebrows, eyelashes and other skin related issues. Their Feel Better classes offer a free service for anyone with any cancer who is at any stage of treatment. Anyone who has been diagnosed and undergoing treatment can register to attend. The classes aim to improve confidence, self-esteem and well –being. They offer participants an opportunity to relax, have fun, feel special, do something practical, connect with people who may be experiencing something similar (away from the world of diagnosis and treatment) and provide an experience for participants to gain control and normality at a time when treatment may have taken over their lives.
Look Good Feel Better is able to make a difference and provide these free Feel Better Classes through the generous support of sponsors and fundraising. It’s through the support of business partners; product donations; volunteers; professional expertise and fundraising that they have been able to support over 3000 women a year, delivering nearly 300 classes in 37 locations across NZ. Their volunteers have generously and freely given their time to help provide support for more than 38,000 people with cancer who have been through the Look Good Feel Better programme in NZ alone.

Look Good Feel Better NZ classes aim to improve confidence, self-esteem and well –being. They are an opportunity to relax, do something practical, and connect with people who may be experiencing something similar. Our local classes are free, and provide an experience for participants to gain control and normality at a time when treatment may have taken over their lives.
Annually we support over 3000 women a year, delivering nearly 300 classes in 37 locations around NZ.
